Job summary

Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking a Grounds Worker/Landscaper to maintain the golf course grounds in playing condition as directed by supervisors. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, with full-time year-round employment and a benefits package.

The role involves irrigation system connections, equipment operation (mowers, tractors, aerifiers), plant care, and routine maintenance of machinery.

Qualifications

• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have valid and current Florida driver's license.
• Must have experience with driving mowers, tractors, and push mowers.

Responsibilities

• Must comply with all department policies and SOPs.
• Connects hose and sprinkler systems at designated points on course to irrigate turf.
• Digs and rakes ground to prepare greens, grades and cleans traps, and repairs rosebeds.
• Plants, trims, and sprays trees and shrubs.
• Operates turf vacuum, skip loader, fairway and rough aerifier.
• Cleans machinery after each use and reports problems to supervisor.
• Loads/unloads materials; trims trees and removes cuttings; collects litter.
• Cleans gutters, drains, culverts; cuts grass, weeds, and bushes.

Job description

Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking a skilled Grounds Worker/Landscaper. Responsibilities includemaintaininggrounds and turf of golf course in playing condition as directed by supervisors. Should be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must comply with all department policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Connects hose and sprinkler systems at designated points on course to irrigate turf.
• Digs and rakes ground to prepare new greens, grades and cleans traps, and repairs rosebeds.
• Plants, trims, and sprays trees and shrubs.
• Safety operates equipment and mowers and pluggers used for various course maintenance needs.
• Cleans machinery after each use.
• Inspects machinery/reports equipment problems to supervisor.
• Makes necessary minor adjustments to equipment.
• Loads and unloads materials.
• Trims trees and removes cuttings.
• Collects and empties litter cans.
• Cleans gutters, drains, and culverts.
• Cuts grass, weeds, and bushes.
• Operates turf vac, skip loader, fairway and rough aerifier.
• May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.
• Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily, and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
• Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or supervisor and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
• Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
