Job summary

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community (QPRC) is seeking a Full-Time Grounds Crew member to maintain outdoor spaces and assist the Facilities Services Department. The role involves year-round outdoor work, including lawn care, mulching, and general site upkeep.

The position offers a stable schedule, with daytime hours Monday–Friday and some on-call winter hours. Compensation is dependent on experience, with benefits and a supportive team environment at QPRC.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid PA Driver's License.
• Physically able to perform outdoor tasks and operate light to heavy equipment when required.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, blow, and maintain lawns, shrubs, and small trees.
• Perform landscaping tasks such as mulching, weeding, planting, and cleaning areas.
• Maintain fountains and outdoor facilities; clean entrances, patios, gazebos.

Full-Time Help Needed for the Grounds Crew at QPRC

This Full-Time position, working with our Grounds Crew is ideal for someone who is looking to be active and spend a lot of time outdoors!

The hours consist of Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm and some on call hours during the winter.

Compensation: Dependent upon experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Mowing, trimming, blowing, or cutting grass, shrubbery and minor tree trimming.
• Landscaping responsibilities such as mulching, weeding, plantings, cleaning out, etc.
• Caring for and maintenance of all the fountains around the site.
• Regularly cleaning and sweeping off outside entrances, patios, gazebos, etc.
• Assist the Facility Services Department during snow removal process and safely operate both small and large equipment (i.e., snow blowers, Bobcat, salt spreaders, etc.).
• Basic maintenance tasks as assigned (i.e., moving furniture, event set ups, etc.)

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid PA Driver's License
• Mechanically inclined
• Strong customer service skills
• Enjoys being outside
• Able to work alone or as part of a team
