Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Grounds Technician in Leavenworth, WA. You will maintain the grounds of the community to create a welcoming environment for residents and guests, manage time well, and work as a reliable team member with attention to safety and quality.

You will perform daily grounds tasks, assist with vacant unit preparations, coordinate with vendors, and handle routine maintenance and cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily grounds maintenance of the property including trash pickup, pet waste removal, and cleaning walkways
• Maintain trash rooms and ensure chutes are operable
• Clean pools, monitor chemical balance and keep logs
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems as needed
• Assist maintenance and housekeeping with vacant units
• Assist vendors and accompany them to units as required
• Clean windows, breezeways, and common areas; perform basic repairs and lighting tasks
• Water plants as needed and monitor supplies and equipment

Job Details: Job Location: Leavenworth, WA 98826, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 Hourly, Job Category: Maintenance, Autumn Haus

Position Summary

As a Grounds Technician, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and appearance of your community in order to maintain a welcoming environment for residents and guests. A successful Grounds Technician is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform daily grounds maintenance of the property including picking up and disposing of all trash, pet defecation removal, maintain pet waste stations, and sweeping walkways
• Maintain all trash rooms for cleanliness and functionality; ensure trash chutes are operable and working, unclogging as needed
• Clean pools as directed, monitor chemical balance, maintain logs as required by city ordinances, when applicable
• Conduct inspections and routine repairs of the irrigation system, when applicable
• As requested, assist Maintenance and Housekeeping teams preparing vacant apartment homes; trash out vacant units, etc
• Accompany vendors to vacant and/or occupied units, as needed
• Clean windows, breezeways, all amenities/common areas, model homes and offices, complete building repairs/paint and replace exterior/ interior light bulbs as needed
• Water plants manually, as needed
• Monitor supplies and maintain equipment
• Ensure maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times

Qualifications

• Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicable
• Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner

• Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
• Experienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; Willing and able to learn new software programs
