Job summary

WESLEY TOWERS INC in Hutchinson, KS is seeking a versatile maintenance assistant to mow and trim lawns, maintain flower beds, shrubs and trees, and operate snow removal equipment. Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must have a current driver’s license in good standing with the state of Kansas.
• Must have a good driving record and meet all organizational and insurance company requirements to drive company vehicles.
• Must have a chemical applicator’s certificate, or be willing to obtain it within 3 months.
• Possess mechanical knowledge and the ability to repair lawn and snow removal equipment.
• Possess basic knowledge and ability to operate sprinkler systems, install new systems, and repair existing system.
• Possess a working knowledge of caring for lawns, plants, shrubs and trees.

Responsibilities

• Mowing and trimming all lawns.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
• Operate snow removal equipment and help with maintenance of such equipment.
• Safely operate lawn equipment (tractor, ZTR mowers, gas trimmers, power-rake, edgers).
• Safely operate snow removal equipment (snow blowers, tractor, ZTR machine).
• Drive a company vehicle to haul materials or pick up parts.
• Repair lawn equipment.
• Prune trees, shrubs, and roses.
• Help plant trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Operate sprinkler systems, install new systems, and repair existing system.
• Apply fertilizer and other chemicals as needed.
• Install and remove Christmas lights using ladders and other equipment.
• Weed and maintain flower beds.

Job description

Mowing and trimming all lawns. Help maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees. Operate snow removal equipment and help with the maintenance of such equipment.Safely operate lawn equipment.
