Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain campus grounds, assist with seasonal tasks, and support safe, clean patient and family environments. The role involves outdoor maintenance, snow removal, and basic landscape care at Burnet Campus.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, no direct experience is necessary, and a pesticide applicator license may be pursued. A valid driver's license is required for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Groundskeeping: restripe garages and parking lots, maintain turf, remove snow and ice, maintain cleanliness of garages, operate grounds equipment, prune plants as needed.
• Service: assist with beds creation and maintenance, snow removal, grass cutting, pruning, mulching; comply with Infection Control policies.
• Assist in maintaining all CCHMC grounds to provide a safe, clean, healing environment for patients, families, and staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Groundskeeping- Restripe all garages and parking lots and special designated areas on CCHMC campus locations. Maintain/ enhance turf areas with proper mowing/ fertilization procedures. Remove snow and ice. Maintain parking lots and sidewalks to ensure clear and safe passages. Maintain garages for cleanliness and removal of all trash and debris. Operate grounds maintenance equipment with proficiency. Assist with pruning of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals to provide an acceptable level of plant health and aesthetics. Participate in obtaining Pesticide Applicators Service License if necessary.
• - Service- Assist with construction and maintenance of annual/ perennial beds. Provide services such as snow removal, grass cutting, pruning, and mulching. Comply with Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Assist in the maintenance of all CCHMC grounds in order to provide a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, families, and employees.
