Job summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia's Dept of Corrections seeks a Grounds Supervisor at St. Brides Correctional Center to lead inmate crews in maintaining grounds inside and outside the security perimeter.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of landscaping and grounds keeping tasks, be proficient with hand and power tools for grounds equipment, and be able to follow written instructions to complete tasks on schedule while enforcing safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of landscaping and grounds keeping tasks.
• Experience operating grounds equipment (mowers, weed eaters, blowers) is preferred.
