Job summary

Darlington County School District is seeking a Grounds/Small Engine Repair / Maintenance Worker II to perform routine grounds maintenance and repair on district equipment. The 260-day position offers a base salary of $16.69 per hour and immediate availability.

Responsibilities include mowing, field maintenance, operating tractors and other equipment, and assisting in maintenance tasks as needed. A valid South Carolina driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
• Training in small engine repair and 1–2 years of grounds/maintenance experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain district grounds and athletic fields, including mowing, fertilizing, watering, and debris removal.
• Repair and perform maintenance on small engine equipment.
• Operate equipment such as tractors, lawn mowers, and related tools.
• Coordinate and supervise others as assigned and participate in training.
