Job summary

Quail West, a premier private club in Southwest Florida, is hiring a Grounds Operator I to support daily grounds care and landscaping. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests, working with the Grounds team on mowing, trimming, edging, and equipment operation.

This full-time hourly role offers a 5:45 AM–2:15 PM schedule (one weekend per month), paid hourly at $18, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) with employer match, and

• Daily grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment such as push mowers, riding mowers, line trimmers, stick edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
• Maintain landscaped areas to keep property clean and attractive.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Participate in departmental training to uphold standards.
• Work with Grounds team to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for a dependable and hardworking Grounds Operator I to join our Grounds team! The Grounds Operator I will assist with the daily care and maintenance of Quail West’s beautifully maintained grounds and landscaping, helping ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our members and guests.

• This is a Full-Time Hourly Position
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM (plus one weekend per month)
• Pay rate: $18/hour

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Perform daily grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment such as push mowers, riding mowers, line trimmers, stick edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
• Maintain landscaped areas to ensure a clean, attractive, and well-kept appearance throughout the property.
• Follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Participate in departmental training to ensure consistent grounds maintenance standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Grounds team to complete daily assignments efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating landscaping or grounds maintenance equipment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions, solve problems, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, dependable, and safety-conscious work ethic.
• Willingness to participate in training and follow established policies and procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
