Montgomery College is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Lead at the Rockville Campus to oversee and perform grounds maintenance activities. This role requires strong leadership, experience in grounds management, and a commitment to providing a clean environment for the College community. Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, has an immediate need for a FT, Grounds Maintenance Lead in the Facilities Operations Grounds Department. The standard work schedule is Monday – Friday, 6 : 00 a.m. – 2 : 30 p.m. Adjustments to the schedule will be required to accommodate weather related concerns as they arise. This is a non-bargaining, non-exempt, grade 17 position. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. Under supervision and / or direction, incumbents of this position are responsible for leading and performing of grounds / building maintenance work and providing a clean and pleasant environment for the College community. This position is responsible to schedule, review and inspect finished work, as well as delegation of duties in the absence of the Grounds Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include inspections of equipment to ensure all is safe, in good working order, ready for use, and properly secured after each use. Work involves the maintenance of one or more buildings / areas and / or leading the work of Grounds Maintenance workers assigned to the building / area, in addition to performing all types of routine grounds maintenance work.
Contacts and interactions vary and may involve multiple constituencies such as colleagues, supervisors, managers, directors and / or line staff concerning the operation, maintenance and use of the College community as well interactions with students, vendors, and the public, providing information, service and assistance.

Required Qualifications :
Hiring Range : $20.84 - $26.05 annually. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $31.27.
