Job summary

University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a Grounds Maintenance Worker 2 in Facilities Management. Responsibilities include weed and trash removal, sweeping sidewalks, and general labor to maintain campus grounds using hand tools. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.

A valid Nevada driver’s license is required for employment. The role is at UNLV with a Grade 22, Step 1 salary and opportunities for benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience performing basic grounds maintenance work; OR equivalent combination of education and experience; OR six months as Grounds Maintenance Worker I in Nevada State service.

Responsibilities

• Weed and trash removal, sweeping sidewalks, and debris cleanup as part of general grounds maintenance.
• Use hand tools (rakes, shovels) to maintain outdoor spaces and assist with related tasks.
