Job summary

Jupiter Island Club in Hobe Sound, FL is seeking a Grounds Crewman I to maintain landscaped areas and support events. You will operate lawn machinery, manage plantings, and assist with setup and teardown for Food & Beverage functions.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of grounds/landscaping experience. The role involves flexible hours and outdoor work across the club grounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in grounds and landscaping or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates larger machinery (loader and jig lift), mowers and small power equipment.
• Maintain shrubs, trees and grounds by mowing, edging, trimming, and watering.
• Performs basic and specialized pruning tasks.
• Cleans driveways, sidewalks, streets and access paths.
• Maintains the nursery holding area.
• Reports irrigation and pest problems to Grounds Foreman or Grounds Manager.
• Moves or relocates furniture, tables, chairs, potted plants and dance floor as needed.
• Assists in moving and setting up tents, portable heaters, etc.
• Operates company vehicle to run errands or perform custodial tasks within department.
• Makes deliveries to Members for parties.
• Smooths transitions from sidewalks or roads to pebble areas.
• Assists Foreman in assigning tasks to Grounds Laborers.
