Job summary

Alterra at Snowshoe is seeking a Full Time Flex Year Round team member to maintain resort grounds and common areas in Snowshoe, WV. The role requires early mornings, weekends and holidays, with housing options on site and a pay rate of $15.25 per hour.

Position is benefit-eligible after 30 days; 9-11 months flexible schedule. Perks include free skiing and Ikon pass, 401k for 18+, and exclusive discounts at Snowshoe locations.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months in a related role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resort common areas, grounds, walkways, steps, plazas, parking areas, and roadways.
• Perform daily inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety and submit work orders for billing and compliance.
• Operate equipment safely, follow safety procedures, and report hazards.
• Provide friendly, efficient service to guests and staff; perform groundskeeping tasks (mowing, weeding, pruning, mulching).
• Ensure proper signage by painting and setting signs.
• Perform snow removal and ice control using hand tools and snow equipment.
• Contribute to team efforts and perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain the aesthetic, effectiveness, functionality, and safety of all resort common areas and resources by performing maintenance and or snow removal and ice control on all common area grounds, landscape features and plants, hardscape features, resort signage, walkways, steps, plazas, parking lots and roads.

• Maintain resort common areas, grounds, walkways, steps, plazas, parking areas, and roadways (landscaping, hardscaping, maintenance, snow removal, ice control, trash removal)

• Perform daily inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety of common areas Keep detailed records of work performed and submit work orders for billing and compliance

• Operate equipment safely, follow all safety procedures, and report hazards Monitor inventory and supplies, inform Manager/Supervisor of needs Attend training and maintain a clean, organized work environment

• Provide friendly, efficient service to guests and staff Perform groundskeeping tasks: mowing, weeding, pruning, mulching, and applying chemicals Maintain equipment and assist with construction projects (preparing soil, sodding, seeding)

• Ensure proper signage by painting and setting signs

• Perform snow removal and ice control using hand tools, snow blowers, and chemicals

• Contribute to team efforts and perform additional duties as assigned

Driving:

• Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Preferred Experience:

• 6-12 months in a related role
