Job summary

King & George in El Centro, CA is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Laborer to care for the landscape around our buildings. Your duties include mowing the grass, trimming shrubbery, weeding, pressure washing and sweeping walkways, and watering plants when dry.

You may use a power mower or rake to complete tasks and perform preventative maintenance on facilities. The ideal candidate has several years of landscaping or cleaning experience, strong time management skills, and the ability to operate

Qualifications

• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
• Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping and grounds around designated areas
• Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves
• Prepares soil and maintain bedding
• Plant and maintain flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs
• Perform preventative maintenance on indoor and outdoor facilities
• Clean all pedestrian surfaces and walls
• Performs routine maintenance on power equipment
• Other duties as assigned
