This is maintenance work involving the care and maintenance of the City's parks, playgrounds, athletic fields and courts, and other City properties and facilities.

High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 2 years of technical training in turf or grounds management, and 1.5 years of related experience. A degree can substitute for experience as specified. Experience with heavy equipment operation is required.
Knowledge: Landscape design, plant care, pest and disease management, safety practices, use of office equipment.
Abilities: Operate grounds maintenance tools and vehicles, perform plant identification and maintenance, follow instructions, perform physical tasks, maintain records, work flexible hours, establish effective relationships.
Skills: Power tools and machinery operation, turf care, snow and ice control techniques.
Work outdoors, operate equipment, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and work in various weather conditions. Accommodations available for disabilities.
