Ben E. Keith Company, a leader in food and beverage distribution for over a century, is seeking a Groundskeeper at our Southeast Food location in New Brockton, Alabama. Our divisions include a broad line distributor across multiple states and a beverage division operating throughout Texas, distributing Anheuser-Busch products, craft and import beers, spirits, and wines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds around buildings, barn, lagoons, ponds, and other areas, including mowing, weed control, and fence repairs.
• Service outdoor equipment such as tractors, lawn mowers, and livestock trucks.
• Remove debris, old pallets, and trash from designated areas.
• Maintain lagoon and stormwater drain areas, including sampling and reporting as per permits.
• Inspect and maintain fuel tanks, flags, and other facilities.
• Assist with livestock-related tasks and barn cleaning as needed.
• Perform minor repairs and inspections, including checking for loose nails, deteriorated planks, and maintaining safety features.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks related to groundskeeping and maintenance.
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience.
