Job summary

Homestead Gardens seeks an experienced Landscape & Grounds Supervisor to lead the maintenance and beautification of our 50-acre Davidsonville campus. You will supervise a groundskeeping team, oversee irrigation, seasonal color, and landscape improvements, and coordinate with events and retail teams to prepare outdoor spaces for weddings and other occasions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, horticulture, or similar operations.
• Strong knowledge of trees, shrubs, turf, perennials, and seasonal color.
• Experience with irrigation systems and water management.
• Experience with landscape equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related tools.
• Certification in pest management or ability to obtain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, coach, and work alongside the groundskeeping team.
• Maintain ornamental landscapes, lawns, trees, shrubs, seasonal color, and perennial beds.
• Oversee mowing, pruning, mulching, planting, edging, and landscape improvements.
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems for healthy plant growth and water efficiency.
• Coordinate pest management and weed control practices.
• Inspect and coordinate repairs of landscape equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with Events, Retail, Facilities, and Landscape teams to prepare outdoor spaces for weddings and events.
• Assist with seasonal projects including leaf removal, winterization, and snow removal.
• Maintain a safe work environment and uphold Homestead Gardens' standards.

You'll oversee the care of nearly every outdoor space across our 50-acre destination—including display gardens, retail grounds, event venues, walking paths, brewery grounds, animal pastures, and landscaped public areas.
