Job summary

Crown Co. is seeking an entry-level landscaper to work outdoors in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will handle mowing, trimming, plant care, and basicMaintenance tasks with opportunities to learn irrigation and fence repair.

Your strong work ethic and willingness to learn are valued; prior outdoor work helps but isn’t required. A valid driver’s license is preferred and safety is important.

Qualifications

• Entry-level-friendly position; no prior landscaping experience required.
• Experience in landscaping, lawn care, grounds maintenance, equipment operation, construction, or other outdoor work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowing, trimming, landscaping and groundskeeping equipment.
• Maintain lawns, landscaped areas, trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Monitor irrigation and repair fences, gates, and irrigation components.
• Safely apply fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides when needed.

What Could Your Days Look Like?

There's variety here. One day you may be mowing, trimming, planting, or maintaining landscaped areas. Another day you could be repairing a fence, troubleshooting irrigation, clearing snow, cleaning up a property, or helping make an outdoor space look better than you found it.

You'll Have Opportunities To

• Operate mowing, trimming, landscaping, and groundskeeping equipment
• Maintain lawns, fields, landscaped areas, trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Plant, water, fertilize, prune, and care for landscaping
• Monitor irrigation systems and identify problems before they become bigger issues
• Repair fences, gates, irrigation components, and outdoor structures
• Maintain sidewalks, parking areas, drainage systems, and surrounding property
• Handle seasonal property maintenance, including snow and debris removal
• Safely apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides when needed
• Maintain tools and equipment so they're ready when the job needs to get done
• Help with property improvements and other hands-on outdoor projects throughout Crown Co.

We're looking for someone who can see what needs to happen and take ownership of it.

This is an entry-level-friendly position, and we're willing to teach the right person. Experience in landscaping, lawn care, grounds maintenance, equipment operation, construction, or other outdoor work is a plus, but it isn't the only thing we're looking at.
