Cedar Rapids Community School District seeks a Grounds Maintenance II to care for Kingston Stadium and CRCSD grounds. You will operate a variety of heavy equipment, perform snow removal, mowing, and vegetation maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.
The role requires physical stamina, reliable communication with staff and students, and the ability to work in adverse winter conditions. Proactive collaboration with the Grounds Foreman is essential.
Under the supervision of the Grounds Foreman, you are responsible for the following: Maintaining the common grounds athletic facilities at Kingston Stadium and all Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) grounds. Repair and maintain fences, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other surroundings. Ability to operate large equipment such as trucks, tractors, tractor gang mowers, skid steer, frontend loader, and other equipment. Remove snow from sidewalks, playgrounds, parking lots, and drives. Mow the grounds and maintain the sites including bush and tree trimming and/or removal. Maintain the grounds vehicles and equipment--tractors, mowers, and others--daily and annually. Provide active communication and positive relationships with students, staff, and community members.

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtractions, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals and fractions.
