Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Grounds Maintenance team member to care for hospital grounds and perform landscaping, snow removal, and related duties. You will help maintain lawn health, plant life, and outdoor areas to ensure a positive first impression for patients and visitors.

The role requires the ability to operate basic landscape tools, work outdoors in varying weather, and follow safety guidelines. Training will cover campus safety, equipment use, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance and/or snow removal preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and maintains lawns and grass.
• Rakes and maintains leaves, and cares for plants, flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Performs snow removal activities such as shoveling in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintains and keeps campus grounds clean and free of debris for first impression and beautification.
• May perform basic repairs to outdoor furniture to maintain safe conditions.
• Maintains landscape power equipment in good operating condition.
• Stress safety as top priority.
• Informs Grounds Coordinator of any unsafe conditions.

About The Job

Maintains and cares for hospital grounds in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Grounds Coordinator. Perform a variety of landscaping, maintenance and snow removal duties as assigned.
