Job description

Be a part of the Temp-Stop Family

We are seeking an experienced grounds maintenance individual familiar with operating equipment such as bobcats, tractors with bush hog mowers, snow plows, and performing light tree trimming and overall grounds maintenance, including sprinkler systems.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour for a store maintenance position. With experience, the starting pay can be up to $26.00.

Additional earning opportunities include earning $0.50 per hour from midnight to 6 a.m. (see company policy upon accepting a position).

You will have the opportunity for a performance review in as little as 90 days, with annual reviews thereafter.

Health insurance is available within 90 days of your start date.

The primary function of this maintenance role is to perform duties in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring high customer service and store appearance. Transportation from the corporate office will be provided, and travel to various company locations will be required. Each day may involve maintaining different sites.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Weed control, lawn maintenance, replacing dead shrubbery and trees
• Trimming and shaping shrubs and trees
• Maintaining the overall appearance of facilities throughout Missouri
• Checking and repairing irrigation systems, programming watering schedules
• During winter, indoor tasks such as cleaning, organizing warehouses, and special projects
• Other tasks as assigned by management
• Effective communication with associates and guests
• Attendance at mandatory meetings (e.g., T.A.M., sexual harassment training)

Physical requirements include:

• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting 1 to 15 lbs
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Reaching above shoulder height and bending below waist
• Access to all areas of the store as needed
