Satellite Service Inc. in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Laborer to support the upkeep of industrial and commercial sites. You will mow, trim, prune, plant, and maintain landscapes, and assist in snow removal and basic repairs.
The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and the capacity to work outdoors in all weather. A HS diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; candidates should have reliable attendance and safety awareness.
The Grounds Maintenance Laborer is responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of the grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, athletic fields, military bases and runways.
The work is performed primarily outdoors so exposure to various temperatures and weather including snow, sleet, rain, wind, dust, dirt, and the like are possible. Must be able to work in hot or cold temperatures. This position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds, with or without assistance. Constant walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time may be required. Reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and balancing may be needed.
This position is full time (40 hours per week), seasonal; and may include some shift work including Saturdays and Sundays. Ability to work overtime as needed.
This position is designated as essential. This means that when the facility is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in this position may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the facility.
