Position Summary: Leads a grounds crew of one to five employees in the maintenance ofdistrict grounds, landscaping, and athletic fields across up to twenty-five (25) assignedcampuses. Works alongside the crew while assigning, scheduling, and reviewing daily work,operating grounds equipment, and reinforcing safe work practices. Serves as the on-site lead at assigned campuses, working with limited direct supervision and reporting site conditions, workstatus, and scheduling needs to the Grounds Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of general grounds, landscaping, and athletic field maintenance practices
• Ability to operate mowers, trimmers, saws, and other grounds equipment safely
• Ability to organize, assign, and review the daily work of a small crew
• Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures and district standards
• Ability to communicate clearly with crew members, site staff, and supervisors
• Ability to work independently at assigned sites with limited direct supervision
