Job summary

Deer Creek Lodge & Conference Center in Mount Sterling, OH is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain and beautify the property grounds, including mowing, trimming, planting flowers, and keeping sidewalks clear.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a valid Driver’s License. Prior landscape maintenance experience is preferred, along with strict adherence to safety policies and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Able to work holidays and weekends.
• Experience in landscape maintenance preferred.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of lawn care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plant flowers, shrubs and other vegetation as required.
• Trim trees, shrubs and other vegetation and dispose of clippings.
• Mow and trim grassy resort areas as defined by contract.
• Plow and/or sweep sidewalks as necessary.
• Maintain and operate lawn mowers, edgers, trimmers etc.
• Maintain and care for vegetation including fertilization, trimming, pruning, transplanting, planting.
• Follow all applicable safety, risk management and environmental policies and procedures as related to the Groundskeeper position.
• Wear all personal protective gear as required in performing job.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
