Job summary

Carolina Sweepers in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Grounds Labor Technician to perform outdoor maintenance tasks across commercial properties. The role involves litter pickup, cleaning surfaces, trash management, and occasional ladder or rooftop work while driving a company pickup between sites.

This full-time position requires a valid driver license and a clean driving record. Training will be provided, and safety gear will be supplied; E-Verify/background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Active driver license and clean driving record required.
• Experience not required; janitorial/cleaning experience is a plus.
• Safety is a priority; PPE provided and safety meetings conducted.

Responsibilities

• Pick up litter and maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas.
• Wipe/clean surfaces such as windowsills, benches, and trash can lids.
• Change trash bags in outdoor cans and dumpsters; break down boxes as needed.
• Clean dumpster enclosures and assist with moving pallets, furniture, and other items.
• Drive a company pickup between jobsites.
• May perform ladder/rooftop work or work near retention ponds.
• Hang signs as needed.

Our properties are mostly commercial/retail shopping centers. You will spend your days outside, rain or shine,

• Picking up litter
• Wiping/cleaning surfaces such as windowsills, trash can lid’s, benches, etc.
• Changing trash bags in outdoor trash cans
• Cleaning out dumpster enclosures, breaking down boxes, lifting/moving heavy pallets, furniture, etc.
• Other building maintenance work as needed
• You will drive a company pickup truck to and from jobsites
• May also be required to do some work on ladders/roofs or near retention ponds
• Hang signs

Requirements

This is a driving position. Applicants must have an active driver license and a clean driving record to be considered for this position.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with the work ethic necessary to operate on their own for most of the day. Experience is not required, however janitorial, and cleaning experience is a plus. Safety is our priority! Utilizing our Safety Coordinator and holding monthly safety meetings, we make sure our employees are protected from all kinds of hazards and have the proper PPE for the job.
