Grounds Keeper I
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and education and/or experience in grounds work that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade and equivalent to two years of experience in planting, cultivation, and care of shrubs, trees, palnts and grasses.
Grounds Keeper Leader
An employee in this class uses simple tools to maintain grounds, including planting, cultivating, pruning, and cutting plants, trees, shrubs, grass, and flowers. Assignments are generally routine and repetitive in nature. Detailed instructions are given, and problems are referred to a supervisor. Work performance is inspected and evaluated based on grounds appearance, and errors are quickly revealed. The employee receives direct supervision.
