Position Summary: Under supervision, this position will provide assistance maintaining the grounds on the UGA Griffin Campus. Responsibilities include planting flower beds, irrigating, planting and trimming shrubs and trees, mowing grass, spraying pesticides, trimming shrubs, helping maintain lawn equipment, and other related groundskeeping duties.
Graduated from high school; experience in grounds maintenance work is preferred.
Follow instructions and operate grounds maintenance equipment.
Working outdoors under adverse weather conditions; heavy lifting; walking; standing; reaching; turning; bending; climbing; proper use and operation of landscape equipment.
Offers of employment are contingent upon a background check, including criminal background check, verification of credentials and employment history, reference checks, and possibly a credit check.
