Job summary

MISS KATES BED & BISCUIT INC. is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior of the facility, including trimming trees and hedges, mowing lawns, and keeping pathways clean. The role emphasizes hard work, lawn care knowledge, and landscaping expertise to keep the surroundings beautiful and inviting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in groundskeeping or landscaping and be comfortable operating various landscaping tools while adhering to safety and weather considerations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Groundskeeper, Landscaper, or other position is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is preferred.
• Familiarity with landscaping equipment and machinery.
• Understanding of sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and gardening techniques.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods.
• Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fertilize, mow, weed, and edge lawn areas.
• Maintain garden areas, including pruning, weeding, and mulching.
• Trim hedges, bushes, and trees.
• Maintain clean pathways.
• Ensure outdoor areas are protected from inclement weather.
• Operate push and riding mowers, as well as other landscaping equipment.
• Schedule any required specialized services.
