Illinois State University is seeking a Grounds Gardener to assist in planting and maintaining ornamental horticulture across the campus and in greenhouses.
The role requires a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience, along with a valid IL driver's license and a pre-employment physical. Work hours are Tue–Sat from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a projected starting date in October 2026.

Must acquire a Class C Non-CDL Driver's License within first five (5) months of employment for this position.

Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
Ability to stand for long periods of time; must be able to bend, twist, kneel or crouch for up to three hours at a time; manual dexterity for transplanting and floral design; Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Work Environment- Temperature can reach extremes in the summer months during planting and maintenance seasons. Work is performed both indoors and out.
