Job summary

Oakwood Management Company is seeking a dedicated Grounds Person in Hilliard, OH to maintain outdoor spaces and ensure safety and beauty of our properties. The role focuses on mowing, trimming, planting, and seasonal tasks while working with a proactive maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance landscaping, including mowing, trimming, planting, mulching.
• Seasonal tasks: leaf removal, snow clearing, de-icing walkways.
• Inspect and maintain outdoor facilities like playgrounds and parking areas.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment: mowers, trimmers, snow blowers.
• Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor structures and amenities.
• Ensure grounds are safe, clean, and inviting for employees and visitors.
• Collaborate with maintenance team on special projects and events.

Your Role:

Do you love the outdoors and have a green thumb? As a Grounds Person, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and safety of our outdoor spaces. From manicured lawns to vibrant flower beds, you’ll ensure our grounds are always at their best.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and enhance the landscaping of our grounds, including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching
• Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow clearing, and de-icing walkways

• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
• A positive attitude and a love for working outdoors
• Relevant certifications (e.g., pesticide application, arboriculture) are a plus
