Job summary

ShawIndustries is seeking a Groundskeeper to manage landscaping, lawns, shrubs, and irrigation, plus general facility maintenance. The role runs on a standard 8-hour shift and requires safe operation of lawn equipment and adherence to safety protocols. A valid driver’s license and potential MVR check are required.

The ideal candidate can work independently or with a team, lift up to 50 lbs, and adjust to weather-impacted schedules, including overtime during winter salt/brine tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weather variations.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to provide an MVR.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Must be able to work both independently and on a team.
• Prepared to comply with safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• DOT physical may be required depending on duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site landscaping: lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, irrigation.
• Operate commercial mowers, landscaping machinery, trailers, power tools, trimmers.
• Use precision tools and measuring instruments for tasks.
• Perform general facility maintenance, including painting and drywall work.
• Follow instructions, take measurements, and prepare material lists.
• Maintain equipment by checking oil levels and sharpening blades.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Adhere to safety equipment requirements and hazard awareness.
