Catoosa County is hiring a Grounds Technician I to perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance for county buildings and outdoor areas. The role involves physical labor, operating lawn care equipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of park and facility grounds.

You will mow, edge, prune, and water plants, assist with minor building maintenance, and maintain basic records while contributing as a team member.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general maintenance experience or equivalent
• Basic landscape maintenance knowledge requested
• Ability to read plans and maps
• Strong safety awareness and PPE usage

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge and trim lawns with power and hand tools
• Plant, water, prune and maintain trees, shrubs and flowers
• Inspect areas and report safety hazards on grounds
• Assist with minor building maintenance and repairs
• Clean and pressure wash buildings and walkways
• Maintain basic records of work performed
