GROUNDS SUPERVISOR Facilities Maintenance at Eagle Schools District oversees and directs maintenance of landscaping, athletic fields, driveways, parking areas, and snow removal across multiple district sites. Responsibilities include irrigation management, safety training, and supervising up to twelve seasonal employees.

It requires a high school diploma, Colorado-licensed plumber credentials, and strong leadership, communication, and safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Valid Colorado Journeyman Plumber’s license.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Five years experience in plumbing, preferably commercial/institutions.
• Experience in operating heavy equipment (backhoe, skid-steer, and trencher).
• Knowledge of plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct maintenance of District landscaping, athletic fields, driveways, and parking lots and snow removal.
• Manage irrigation system turn on, balancing, and winterizing.
• Train grounds employees in equipment use (tractors, weed eaters, sprayers, heavy equipment, snow removal).
• Lead up to twelve seasonal employees; plan schedules and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Interpret blueprints and draw work sketches for grounds care, irrigation and drainage.
• Coordinate vendor purchases for grounds care equipment and snow removal needs.
• Assist Facilities Director in deciding maintenance tasks to contract out.
• Assess landscaping needs and advise on requirements.
• Maintain inventory of tools and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Plan and organize daily jobs and complete tasks timely.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate repairs.
• Coordinate annual snowplow bidding and district-wide snow removal.
