Job summary

Eagle Schools seeks a Building Maintenance Generalist to perform skilled repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations across district facilities. The role ensures safe, functional buildings and reliable equipment through hands-on work and timely documentation.

The position reports to the Facilities Manager and requires 3+ years of maintenance experience, a Colorado driver’s license, and knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Compensation is hourly with full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HVAC systems using control systems; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Take equipment readings, maintain logs, and document requirements.
• Coordinate work with Maintenance Specialists, custodial staff, and school personnel.
• Support custodians in maintaining equipment functionality.
• Research, source, and order parts and supplies as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain records and complete tasks efficiently.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $24.20 - $29.04 per hour

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and installation work to ensure district buildings, systems, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

SUPERVISED BY: Facilities Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and small appliances.
• Complete maintenance, alteration, and installation work in accordance with department procedures and industry standards.
• Assist Maintenance Specialists with major repairs and projects.
• Repair and maintain door hardware, including locks and cores.

Systems Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor HVAC systems using computerized control systems; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Take equipment readings, maintain logs, and complete required documentation.
• Conduct testing of emergency lighting systems.
• Participate in monthly fire drills and safety checks as assigned.

Equipment & Grounds

• Operate district equipment, including skid steers and snow removal equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned inventory in good working order.
• Perform regular cleaning and organization of work vehicles and shop areas.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate work with Maintenance Specialists, custodial staff, and school personnel.
• Support custodians in maintaining equipment functionality.
• Research, source, and order parts and supplies as needed.

Safety & Compliance

• Immediately report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to building systems and maintenance work.
• Follow all safety procedures and department protocols.

On-Call & Emergency Response

• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues as required.

General Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure follow-up on identified issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
