Job summary

AISD is seeking a Grounds Equipment Operator to maintain and repair grounds equipment and perform scheduled PM on tractors, mowers, and other small engines. The role requires reading English instructions and maintaining logs, with an emphasis on safety and district procedures.

Experience in grounds maintenance and ability to operate power equipment are essential. A Texas Class C driver's license is required, with Class B preferred.

Qualifications

• Four years of grounds maintenance experience required.
• Ability to read and understand verbal instructions in English.
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license (Class B preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follow AISD safety procedures as covered in the AISD safety handbook.
• Abide by all AISD policies and procedures as outlined in the AISD auxiliary employee handbook.
• Assume responsibility for safe operation and care of assigned service vehicle, tools and equipment.
• Maintain department schedules and daily log; initiate and complete work orders.
• Keep school grounds and exterior facilities neat and clean.
• Perform other duties as determined by the needs of the district.
