Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking a dependable Grounds Equipment Operator to help maintain the resort grounds to luxury‑resort standards. You will operate mowers and landscaping gear, trim and edge lawns, plant and care for flowers, and ensure clean, welcoming outdoor spaces for guests and members.

The role requires physical effort, the ability to work in varying weather, and flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping, grounds-maintenance, or equipment-operation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic lawn, plant, and flower care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to safely operate motorized grounds and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, lift, and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care, maintenance, and overall appearance of the resort and club grounds.
• Operate grounds-maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, utility vehicles, and other landscaping equipment.
• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas throughout the property.
• Plant, water, prune, and care for flowers, shrubs, trees, and seasonal displays.
• Assist with maintaining flower beds, gardens, walkways, entrances, courtyards, and other outdoor areas.
• Remove weeds, leaves, branches, debris, and litter from the property.
• Maintain the appearance of outdoor guest and member areas to luxury-resort standards.
• Assist with installing and refreshing seasonal flowers and landscape displays.
• Inspect grounds and report irrigation issues, damaged landscaping, unsafe conditions, or equipment concerns to management.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of grounds equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and completing assigned duties.
• Work independently and as part of the Grounds team to complete daily assignments.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with members, guests, and colleagues.
• Perform additional grounds-maintenance duties as assigned.
