Position Summary

Grounds Crew must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.35.

This position will remain open until August 8, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mowing, trimming, and weeding 80 acres of property
• Maintain all mulch and flower beds
• Perform basic maintenance to landscaping equipment
• Mixing of paint and operation of painters
• Painting of a regulation NCAA football field (including gridiron, numbers, hashes, logos)
• Setting and moving of string lines and stencils
• Assisting in the deployment of rain covers when needed
• Putting out pylons, sideline covers, goal post pads, and field goals nets
• Replacing of divots before and after pregame warm-ups
• Raising and lowering of field goal nets during game
• Removal of pylons, sideline covers, goal post pads, and field goal nets
• Fixing of any major divots

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in all types of weather
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work safely and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Previous experience preferred, but not required
