Job summary

Job Summary:Responsible for managing the daily work assignments and supervision of workers in a grounds maintenance crew in such a way to meet production demands and contract-specific requirements while maintaining quality standards and good customer relations.Responsibilities:a. Snow Plowing – Responsible to drive a snow plow route, which generally begins at 5:00 a.m.b. Mulch Program – Responsible for the smooth operation of the primary mulch crew,keeping to the schedule and meeting contract demands.c. Landscaping – Responsible for landscaping projects per customer request andmaintenance duties as assigned.d. General Grounds Maintenance – Responsible for general grounds maintenanceduties as assigned.Site Maintenancea. Maintain clean, orderly work area.b. Initiating work orders for needed repairs to equipment/vehicles.c. Provide transportation to and from job site(s) in an agency vehicle.d. Maintain equipment and/or notify appropriate personnel of problems.e. Keep accurate records.f. Monitor inventory of necessary supplies and materials.g. Initiate purchase requests for needed supplies and materials.h. Attend and participate in meetings and/or trainings as requested.i. Maintain working knowledge of the Agency’s and Program Policies and Proceduresj. Satisfactorily complete required training period.k.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilitya.
