Job summary

Monster Tree Service of Minneapolis has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Grounds Crew/Bucket Truck Operator. Operates bucket truck to prune or remove trees, performs climbing, pruning, and grounds tasks, and adheres to safety standards.

Qualified candidates will hold a clean driver’s license, CDL/Class B, prior bucket truck experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather. The role involves teamwork, daily safety briefings, equipment maintenance, and orderly job

Qualifications

• A clean valid Driver’s License is required.
• CDL and Class B license required.
• Prior experience driving and operating a bucket truck is required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outside in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Operates bucket truck to facilitate pruning and/or tree removals.
• Performs climbing, pruning, and/or grounds tasks based on experience.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards and communicates with workers aloft.
• Participates in weekly safety meetings and daily job briefings.
• Adheres to safety standards and PPE usage; helps enforce safety practices.
• Unloads, lays out, prepares, and stores materials, tools, and equipment.
• Keeps work areas and trucks clean and orderly.
• Works from the ground using saws; drives trucks and operates other equipment as assigned.

Bucket Operator Responsibilities:

• Operates bucket truckto facilitate pruning and or tree removals.
• Perform climbing, pruning, and/or grounds tasks based upon experience.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent voice communication with workers aloft.
• Participates in a weekly safety meeting and daily job briefings.
• Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policies including the use of PPE. Helps enforce job safety practices.
• Unloads lays out, prepares, and stows materials, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.

Bucket Operator Qualifications:

• A clean valid Driver’s License is required
• CDL and Class B license required
• Prior experience driving and operating a bucket truck is required
• Operates and maintains Bucket truck and all other equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Prior experience as a climber or grounds person required
• Must be able to carry 50lbs at a minimum and work outside in all weather conditions

Grounds Crew Responsibilities:

• Uses hand lines to lower limbs and equipment.
• Unloads lays out, prepares, and stows materials, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Works from the ground using handsaws, poles saws. Drives trucks, loaders and operates other equipment as assignedsuch as log movers, chipper, stump grinders, etc.
• Services trucks and equipment. Keeps trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. Reports the need for repairs to truck and equipment to crew leader.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent communication with workers aloft.
• Participates in weekly safety meetings and daily job briefings.
• Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policiesincluding the use of PPE at all times. Helps enforce job safety practices.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Performs related work as assigned.

Grounds Crew Qualifications:

• Operates and maintains chippers, chainsaws, and all other equipment in a safe manner
• Prior experience with trimming, liming, chipper, and saw operation ispreferred
