Groundperson (Driver License Required) - ATE

The groundperson is responsible for gathering and feeding brush & debris into a woodchipper, scanning areas for trip and fall hazards, and ensuring other workers stay out of the path of travel. This position also involves maintaining equipment and materials.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper.
• Service and maintain vehicles and equipment in good order.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pre-Screen

• Pre-employment drug screening, background, and MVR checks may be required.

License & Certifications:

• Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements:

• Rare (less than 10%): Sitting, crawling, climbing poles, color vision, climbing ladders/stairs.
• Occasional (up to 33%): Stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, touch, climbing on/off truck, gripping, lifting over 10-50 lbs, reaching, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing.
• Frequent (up to 66%): Standing, walking, manual dexterity, distant/near vision, reading, hearing, climbing stairs, lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Continuous (up to 100%): Touch, gripping, seeing, carrying, pulling.

Safety:

Employees must have adequate eyesight, concentration, weather endurance, PPE usage, and communication skills to work safely around hazardous equipment and terrain, perform job duties throughout long shifts, and handle confrontations professionally.
