Job summary

The Groundperson at Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is responsible for gathering brush and debris into a woodchipper, scanning areas for trip hazards, and ensuring crew members stay out of the path of travel. The role also includes maintaining equipment and materials and supporting safe day-to-day operations.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position paying $19.07 to $23.15 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required; willingness to join the local union; and a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be willing to join the local union and pay union dues.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper.
• Services vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
