The City of Fairbury, Neb., has one opening for a groundman/3rd class lineman position. Applicants must have a high school diploma. This position is an entry level lineman position, involved in assisting qualified lineman in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric distribution and service lines, transformers, meters, metering equipment, and related equipment. Candidate will operate a variety of equipment including, but not limited to; digger truck, bucket truck, backhoe, skid steer, etc. Lastly, the position will assist other City operations and perform other duties as required. Finalists must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history. Individuals must be able to obtain a Class B, CDL within the probationary period. Post-Offer Employment Testing (POET), including but not limited, to drug screening, criminal background check and a Physical Capacity Profile will be required.
