Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a hands-on Commercial Construction Site Supervisor to oversee field operations for commercial ground-up projects from inception to completion.

You will coordinate trades, manage schedules with 2-week look-aheads, ensure safety, QA, and compliance with plans, and work with Project Managers and Subcontractors. The role requires 5+ years GC supervision, strong knowledge of foundations and MEP, and Procore proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on carpentry or construction experience with proven supervisory experience for a GC on commercial ground-up projects.
• Strong practical understanding of foundations, structural carpentry, MEP (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC), roofing, and masonry.
• Expert ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints, schematics, RFIs, and contract documents.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and construction management platforms (Procore preferred).

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations, trades, and subcontractors on commercial ground-up job sites to ensure plans, specifications, and scope of work are followed.
• Maintain the master project schedule by developing and managing 2-week look-ahead schedules, coordinating deliveries, and allocating job site resources.
• Represent the General Contractor during site inspections, coordinating with authorities to pass code inspections and avoid delays.
• Evaluate workmanship, resolve field discrepancies, and manage change orders with the Project Manager.
• Enforce GC safety standards and lead toolbox talks, site safety plans, and JSA documentation.
