Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer in Melbourne, FL to lead deployment and integration of ground infrastructure. You will coordinate deployments, develop detailed test plans, and ensure documentation and schedules meet program standards.

The role requires collaboration with SMEs, customers, and vendors, plus proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and IBM ClearQuest. A security-clearance path may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Graduate Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience considered.
• Proficiency in collaboration tools, written reports, and coordination with customers/vendors.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing Detailed Deployment Schedule (DDS) activities to ensure on-time deployment.
• Coordinate and de-conflict deployment activities across the enterprise.
• Develop detailed test plans, descriptions, and procedures for ground systems.
• Attend and facilitate weekly Integration Test Checkout meetings and generate reports.
• Create and manage OCCR linking baseline WRs and PTRs; notify SMEs when open.
• Generate PTR reports, maintain PTRs status and due dates.
• Review baseline PTR tabs for accuracy and conformity to standards.
• Monitor PTR hours vs PTR Status to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure deliverable documentation from SMEs is complete for deployment readiness.
