Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manager to lead a manufacturing engineering team responsible for fabricating ground system piping and GSE hardware. You will plan resources, engage stakeholders, and drive project execution on launch pad and test stand support.

The role requires expertise in vacuum jacketed line fabrication, welding, coatings, inspections, and testing, with strong leadership, budgeting, and cross-organizational planning skills to support safe human spaceflight.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing a technical fabrication team
• Experience planning resources and project execution
• Ability to manage cross-organizational priorities and deconflict
• Experience with procurement, material transactions, and inventory control
• Understanding of cost and schedule estimation in manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

• Establish goals for the MFG. Engineering team supporting fabrication.
• Oversee fabrication operations for efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Interface with stakeholders during intake, execution, and closeout of projects.
• Develop long-term capabilities of fabrication team and facilities.
• Administer production performance monitoring protocols.
• Develop leadership and technical talent within the team.
• Manage work orders in ERP/MRP from creation to closure, ensuring accurate material transactions and inventory records.
