Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic for the MCO area. You will perform checks, maintenance, and repairs on GSE, trucks, and related equipment, ensuring safe operation and accurate records.

You’ll travel to other QAS airport stations as needed and must pass background/clearance for an airport badge. This is a full-time day-shift role with benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver's license is required.
• Must pass required background and clearance to obtain an airport badge.
• CBP seal is required; Orlando CBP requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Willingness to travel 30% per year minimum.
• Experience with diesel-powered machines and associated tools.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on Ground Service Equipment (GSE), trucks, and servicing equipment.
• Maintain complete maintenance records and conduct inspections to keep equipment safe and operational.
• Assess and perform necessary repairs on GSE as assigned.
• Communicate status and next-shift expectations with team and leadership.
• Uphold safety and company policies; travel to other QAS airport stations as needed.

Sockets and wrenches up to 1 inch in size and also up-to a ½” driveMust be able to pass required background and clearance requirements to obtain an airport badgeThis position requires an employee to obtain a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seal. Orlando FL CBP requires US citizenship or US permanent resident status in order to receive a CBP seal.Must be available to travel 30% per year minimumKnowledge of fluid types, diesel-powered machines, and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceWorking knowledge of manuals, schematics, and diagnostic toolsDiagnostic experience particularly with diesel-powered machines, preferably with GSE used by ground handlers (tugs, Bobtails, Forklifts and etc.)Direct working knowledge of electrical/hydraulic systems.Day shift schedules (including, weekends, and holidays)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Prior experience with information entry into a CMMS systemPrevious fleet, Mechanic shop or, dealership work experience preferred.Previous experience diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and Hydraulics systemsExperience with GSE and or, mobile field service trucks associated equipment.ASE or manufacturer certifications highly desirable.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
