Job summary

K2 Space is building the largest and most powerful satellites, delivering mission-ready software for build, test, and flight operations. As a Software Engineer on the Ground Software team, you will help scale the Gravitas platform for multiple constellations and payloads, working with Mission Operations and Flight Software to define the overall mission architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE/Math or STEM or 3+ years software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software to build, test, and operate K2's vehicles and payloads.
• Collaborate with Mission Operators and Engineers to scope software solutions for technical and business problems.
• Facilitate design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews to align technical direction.
• Work across Rust backend and TypeScript/Vue frontend to support milestones.
• Provide on-call support for ground test activities and on-orbit operations.
• Mentor engineers to foster strong software engineering practices.
