Job summary

Media Broadcast Satellite GmbH in Germany is seeking a software engineer to join our New Space team. You will develop and maintain mission-critical software for the satellite ground segment, designing features for Mission Control, Mission Planning, Flight Dynamics, and Satellite Operations.

Join Usingen headquarters to work closely with software, systems engineering and operations teams, improving reliability, scalability and automation of ground segment solutions in a fast-evolving space

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin or Python in software development.
• Knowledge of satellite ground segment software and Mission Control Systems (e.g. YAMCS).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and modern software practices; OISL is a plus.
• English: C1, German: A1.

Join our New Space team and develop the software that operates satellite constellations. You will build and integrate mission-critical ground segment applications for Mission Control, Flight Dynamics, Mission Planning and Satellite Operations.

Your Mission

What You’ll Bring to the Mission

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
• Experience in software development using Java, Kotlin, Python or a comparable programming language
• Knowledge of satellite ground segment software, Mission Control Systems (e.g. YAMCS) and CCSDS and/or ECSS standards
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and modern software development practices; knowledge of OISL is a plus
• Required language skills: English – C1, German – A1
