Job description

Suwannee County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for the following
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER I

This full-time semi-skilled manual labor position will require the use of tools, mowers, and occasionally the operation of light equipment to perform general grounds maintenance work related to the upkeep of associated properties i.e., picking up debris, mowing, trimming, and similar tasks as well as other functions related to grounds maintenance. Work generally follows standardized procedures and requires decisions relative to the application of various established rules and procedures.

Minimum education equivalent to partial high school education and one year’s experience in commercial grounds and/or lawn maintenance. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Salary range is $13.50 to $18.39 per hour based on qualifications and experience plus a generous benefits package.
