Job summary

GTS is seeking a lineman ground hand to support the aerial lineman and foreman on a dedicated crew. The role requires a positive, professional image in all interactions and strong customer-facing communication.

Candidates should have basic hand tools knowledge, computer literacy, and a valid driver’s license, and must pass a nationwide background check and drug screen. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Job description

A lineman ground hand is responsible for supporting the aerial lineman and foreman for a given crew.

Requirements

Must present a positive, professional image to employees, customers, and clients in all interactions.

Must have strong communication skills and experience working with customers.

Must have a strong working knowledge of basic hand tools including a powered drill.

Have problem-solving skills and able to think on your feet.

Have a general working knowledge of computers.

Ability to work evenings and weekends.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to carry 60-70 1bs, to include an extension ladder.

Must be able to work at 28 feet or higher.

Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift.
