Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking a Supervisor for Gross Margin Accounting to support the monthly close for gross margin activities, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses in accordance with US GAAP.

This hybrid role requires two days per week in Vienna, VA, with a flexible remote arrangement. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Gross Margin Accounting and involves coaching staff, improving processes, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of total progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of public company experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables.
• Experience in revenue, receivables, cost of goods sold, rebates, inventory accounting, or gross margin accounting.
• Experience in a high-volume transactional accounting environment preferred.
• Healthcare, optical, retail, or multi-site operating company experience a plus.
• Public accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day gross margin accounting activities, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and close support.
• Review staff-prepared journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare more complex journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses related to revenue, receivables, COGS, rebates, and inventory accounting.
• Support the monthly close process by ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and data discrepancies with cross-functional teams.
• Assist with reconciling point-of-sale, billing, subledger, and general ledger activity.
